P2162324 Helleborus Bud

I bought this plant at a fair in the fall and was told the Helleborus was one of the earliest plants to bloom in the spring, and here it is only February 16.

Isabel, they're also called called Lenten roses. Ours bloom around then every year. They are sometimes hard to establish, but bloom like crazy after that. Unfortunately, their flowers nod, so are difficult to photograph when in the ground.
