The weather wasn't too cooperative and the lens I used most, the Panasonic 45-200, struggled to lock focus often enough to cause the loss of images I would have liked to capture, but I took so many shots that I was able to get several I liked.

We really enjoyed our visit to Charleston, especially the day and a half spent at Magnolia Plantation, and its Audubon Swamp Garden (the half day was a return visit to that venue).

I would be remiss if I didn't remark that the reason you don't see Charleston's horse-drawn carriages is I object to the obvious poor working conditions of these animals and refuse to support the businesses that continue to abuse them this way, reportedly withholding enough water to keep them from urinating in the streets, making them pull too-heavy loads, and making them work in too-hot weather.
