This one made a magazine cover and was part of a feature article on the evolution of West Coast Aquatic Gartersnakes whereby the snakes have evolved
immunity to the poison (tetrodotoxin) of the newts. This shot was the first photographic evidence of that immunity, previously reported only anecdotally.
