Photo of our family taken in a little bar in Paris last summer. My husband,
Doug, and I met in college and have been married for 25 years. We started our family
in Kansas City and moved to Madison in 1993. Our sons, Elliot (on the right) and Peter
have been living together this past year in Boulder, CO. Elliot graduated in May in
advertising and will begin an internship with Leo Burnett in Chicago. Peter will continue
his education (and snowboarding career) in Boulder.
The pictures with the cows tell another story. I am on the board of Friends of UW Hospitals
and Clinics. When Cow Parade Wisconsin was brought to Madison, I was involved in hosting the
auction of all the incredible “art cows.” This event raised over $500,000 for the American Family
Children’s Hospital and other area charities. The picture of me in the crew t-shirt is from the
night that we placed 103 cows all over Madison in the middle of the night! I am also involved
in Rotary Youth Exchange. The cow is the design of our classmate Kim Rae Hollnagal Nugent!
We reunited at the artist party.
My career (in various design fields,) has been through many changes, but has often
taken a back seat to volunteer work, and of course family.
