Tomb of Jean Commaille

Jean Commaille is credited for having cleared the jungle away from Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom
in the beginning of the 1900's, thus beginning the effort to make the temples of Angkor accessible
to scholars and tourists. Unfortunately, he did not see much of the restoration of Angkor because
in 1916 he was murdered by robbers for the week's wages that he was carrying for his workmen.
