I had similar thought at first as the other posters below, but soon enough thought it could be a dog stuck in ice. Very imaginative work, it's minimalist and draws me in, just as it should! ;)

A thought just occured to me. I was assuming this was a very large rock, taken maybe looking down from an airplane. However, it could just as well be a small rock taken up close. The lack of clues leaves this up to the viewer. Try viewing it both ways. tcoen

Very unique image. The warm tones of the rock offset the coldness of the ice well. There's a lot going on here and it makes a striking composition. Good eye. Can I ask where you took it from? tcoen
