Odd Man Out
by Helen Betts

Washington, D.C.

Well, guess I'm going overboard on the architecture but it's so interesting around my neighborhood of Capitol Hill that I simply can't help myself ;-). I have photographed these homes so many times that I'm afraid the occupants are going to start wondering about my obsession with their roofs.

With houses that photogenic I think the occupants should understand your attraction to the architecture, Helen. Nice shot well seen and composed. Wonder what goes on behind those windows.

Great shot - I love the interesting architecture, and also the deep blue sky!

Helen, much of what I said about your first photo applies just as well to this one. In fact, looking at the thumbnails side by side, I'm wondering if these two wouldn't make a really nice diptych. I can tell you're "in heaven" exploring the architecture of the DC area...and we're all glad you share it :) MFC

Your architecture shots are wonderful, Helen - just can't pick a favorite. The colors are so vibrant, and you were lucky to have gotten a good sky too. I'm enjoying your D.C. photos. Bev
