Yep you're right, I should have rotated the image slightly.
I agree the cabinet in the background is distracting, but you have to do your best with what you find at the time! I did contemplate blurring the background but thought it would make the image messy.
This is a lovely, warm portrait, beautifully lit. I really like the placing of the child at the edge of the frame, and the juxtaposition of child and tree.
The off angle of the cabinet behind niggles me, but that's just me being picky, others would say it doesn't matter, esepcially in a candid.
