This was Josh at 3, showing off his muscles. I duplicated the layer four times in photoshop, setting blending modes for all layers to Overlay in order to create the high contrast.
This could well be a cover for a U2 CD. Very well done. You got a lot of extra strength into that photo with this method you described. He looks pretty tough.
