Bonnie, the boy in this photo is not "Rayfield" Maldonado. His name was Gilbert. "Rafael" was one year ahead of us and attended La Salle JHS 17. He lived in 90 Amsterdam.

Ivan--Thanks for William's last name. I used to know what it was, but like so many other details from my past, it was lost in the fog that has accumulated in my mind over the years. I also need to correct what I said about him being a Seventh Day Adventist. After I thought some more about it, I believe he was a Jehovah's Witness (more fog in my brain.) About Ray Maldonado--I am not sure, but I think he went to the St. Paul the Apostle School. You could check with Julio or maybe with Ray himself. If you remember any more names, let me know. Thanks again. Bonnie

Gee! That kid looked like Rayfield. Maybe I am wrong. The kid next to Louis/Rayfield is William Roy Thorpe. Yes, he lived next to Julio in Apartment 2C in 80 Amsterdam Avenue. Wiliam, the oldest of three had a sister, Rhonda, and I think he had a younger brother. Bonnie, I remember you and your brother Richie. I use to play punch ball with Richie in the front of 90 Amsterdam.
