Emily and Jorja ~ 1st Birthday 5/1/2010 Royal Children's Hospital, Brisbane.

Not how we envisioned celebrating the twins 1st Birthday, but such is life & we deal with
it as it comes. These were taken at the Royal Children's Hospital Oncology Ward where Emily was admitted after falling suddenly ill on 1/1/10. She has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Happy to report our darling Emily is responding well to her treatment so far.
Oncologists believe early discovery & treatment has her in a good position to fight this dreadful
disease.
I am overwhelmed by the support of messages, prayers & wishes of good will both here & in our daily
lives.
Please take this as my thank you as I am unable to spend much time on here at present as you can imagine. We are as a family all working in any way we can to support my son, daughter in law & our 4 beautiful granddaughters.

May I ask next time you see a fundraiser for Children's Cancer research, please give what you can, no matter how small, as we are seeing what good your donations are doing first hand.

Oh yes, I donate all the time. Cancer is something I pray we find a cure for in my lifetime. It is a horrible disease for adults and just heartbreaking when a child has to endure it. She's gonna beat this thing and just know we all love you here and are praying for a quick recovery for her. Good to know she is reponding well to her treatments. Please keep me posted.
