Sharpless 2-72 (Sh2-72) HII emission nebula in Aquila. To the lower left is NGC 6749 a heavily
obscured globular cluster, and to the right is the planetary nebula PK 36-1.1 which is also cataloged
as Sharpless 2-71 (Sh2-71). Taken July 27, 29, 30, and Aug 01, 2008 with a CCD Labs Q285M and a C80ED
operating at f6 with a WO 0.8 reducer. Mount used was an ASGT mount. H-alpha subframes were 6 and 8
minutes while the RGB subframes were 3 minutes. The final composite was processed in the following
LRGB combination: (Ha) : (R+Ha) : G : (B+Ha) and the total exposures were Ha = 196 min, R = 57 min, G
= 60 min, B = 57 min. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other
processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
