Petroglyphs in the El Paso Hills

In the hills which surround the city where I live there are sacred places where centuries ago, shaman would come from hundreds of miles for vision quests. During this time they would fast, sometimes ingesting hallucinogenics and wait for a vision. They often carved these visions into the rocks. This is just one of the many rocks in the El Paso Hills area.

I miss hiking and biking though that area. If you know where to look they can be found <100 yards off of Trona Rd.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the continuing "Jubilation" saga.
This is why the sisters were in such a jovial mood. They found the shaman's stash.
I can't wait to see what happens next!

It's fascinating to be able to see something created by people long ago.
