The main internal conflict we currently have in Israel is the question of whether we should leave the Gaza Strip and bring all the Israeli settlers home into Israel or continue the occupation of a few million Palestinians
As far as I know, the majority (for sure in the parliament) want to disengage while a minority of people are trying all kinds of acts to cancel or at least postpone the inevitable.
The right wing protesters have started burning tiers and blocking the highways while the left wing is pushing for a separation.

I am afraid that our politicians are too corrupt and self centred to be able to make such an historic decision :( I hope I am wrong
