Michelin tire company just recently changed their recommendations of when tires should be replaced to ten years instead of the old seven years as I had stated earlier. The tires tend to deteriorate internally and start to weather check externally and most tire retreaders will not accept a tire older than seven years to retread.

Why not use tires past 7 years---what happens to them??????
