I have a 1994 virago xv750, my oil viewing window is really cloudy, therefore I can't see how much oil is in the bike. Is there any way of cleaning it?

Virago 1100 96 Special. In Knoxville TN- out runs my cruiser buddys on the curves on 129 to Deals Gap, Cherohala and the Devils Triangle, and Blue Ridge. My bike is tricked out nicely, Jarnine pipes, forward controls, straight handlebars. Purchased in Plano TX. Always starts. Always runs strong. Handles like a dream in these mountain switchbacks. I salute my fellow Virago fans.

I'm trying to locate a left and right chrome trim. One of the pix on your site 3/4 way down on right has a red Virago. The chrome is just under the Virago covers for battery etc. If you could e-mail me, I can send a pix of what I am looking for. I don't even know how to begin to locate this item. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hello, Site 2nd to none!!! Anyone ever seen a oil filter relocation for a 1984-on, 700-1000? The one made for the V star 1100 look as they may work. Same filter just a different part No. for the filter cover. It's a pain to remove everything to change the filter. Please let me know. Thanks Terry terry3982@charter.net

John,
Great site! You have done an admirable job documenting all your work with wonderful photography as well.
As an owner of a 1982 FC35 I would like to know how well your "atomizers" on the radiator works? We live in Southern California and either way we travel we have tall mountain passes to cross causing the old Bird to run above 200 degrees for long climbs. The radiator has been cleaned out and everything else works fine but I would like to have a little "insurance" when traveling 20 MPH up those tall mountain passes. How and when do you use the atomizers on your Bird and where would you recommend I purchase a set?
Thanks,
Steffen Meland

Thanks for taking the time to document all the work you've done. It's really helped me gain knowledge I may never have gotten on my own. I was hoping I could trouble you with a quick question.

Did you have to extend any of the cabling (gauges, clutch, brake) in order to install the XV750 risers on your XV1100?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, you have a very nice Virago. I have a '95 1100 with a Chameleon paint job. I have one question for you though. Could you take a picture of where you commected the hoses for your manometer and either post them or email them to me? I can only find the port on the left side for the rear cylinder. Thanks for any help and all the great pics and tips!

Don:

I emialed you a while ago about changing the air bags on my 81FC35. The link you sent me was perfect. However, I lost the paper that I had which gave me the part number for the rear bags. I have already changed the front ones and need to replace the rear. If you could resend me the link, I would greatly appreciate it.

P.S. Great rebuild on your unit. I have only had mine for 5 months, but my wife likes some of your reno's. Looks like you are going to keep me busy for a while with mine.

Thanks again, Richard Young

John,
Can you please elaborate on removing the left pod & pollution control items on your Virago XV1100 and which lines need to be closed and which ones remain open pertaining to the T. Any close up pics of this side of the bike?
thanks

Hello John,
Just looked through your pics of the 2005 RATS Rally. Looks like everyone was having a good time. I have a question. Do you know what brand of water heater Crit Bliss put in his coach? I still have the original in my coach (82FC35SB 3208T). Looks good right now, but you never know. Thanks for any info.
By the way, you have a great site.
