This is the classic beatrix Potter view over Tarn Howes a truly idyllic and quintessentially English lakeland scene. The lighting was not spectacular but the evening sunshine painted interesting patterns of light and shade over the lake below and turned the distant Langdale peaks pink. The overall result was pleasing.
