Mt Bromo, Java, Indonesia.

A truly wonderous sight the quiraing of volcanos in the centre of the caldera. Mt Bromo is the steaming active one lower left. The big one over the back explodes every half hour or so.

Contax ST ,80-200mm zoom,Fujichrome Velvia
F8 at 1/30 sec, polariser and 0.45ND grad full exif

We wake up so early in the morning walking under the starlight across the sea of sand to get to the crater and awaits the magnificent sunrise. A lifetime experience... Beautiful shot!
