Loch Eribol is a gigantic sea loch which loops many miles inland necessitating a lengthy detour and adding a great deal of journey time on travels between the Kyle of Tongue and Durness. Fortunately there are a couple of worthy view points and this one the Tombolo provides a lofty scenic view. I was lucky enough to see some extraordinary transient light scour the Tombolo briefly illuminating a single cottage and the emerald green grass. It passed into darkness moments later.
