Portknockie Blue

Portknockie, Moray, Scotland

A grey overcast morning on the coast at the Bowfiddle Rock, Portknockie. I must confess I like these conditions and the lack of wind belied the swell on the sea which was left over from the previous day's squall. The long exposure created trails of surf and spume and the dark sea mirrored the sky, turned a rich blue contrasting beautifully with the soft pillows of moss on the cliff top.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and fine art cards are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT
