Hebridean Splendour

Traigh Mhor, Harris, Scotland

With turquoise seas and Atlantic light to die for the pristine Harris beaches are a photographers paradise but be under no illusion the weather is also a photographers nemesis. The wind coats lenses in spray and the squalls of rain appear with unbelievable rapidity even if you can see them coming. This is just before one such squall the backlit rain is falling out to sea as last light turns the cumulus clouds to apricot candyfloss.
