Twilight Neist Point

Neist point, Skye, Scotland.

I must admit I had hoped the sun might crash into a fiery red sea overlit by dramatic red light striking a cloud base but no such luck instead I waited for the sun to disappear completely and used the velvet twilight purples and indigos to construct my scene. The long exposure necessary to capture the range of colours creates a wonderful white tidal surf ring around the base of the 1000 foot cliffs.

Shame about the sun crashing over the horizon, but you have a great moody picture instead. Well done.
