The Devil You Say

Lossiemouth, Moray, Scotland.

The edge of a weather front at sunrise on Lossiemouths beach. Sunrise itself was an insipid affair but I watched its approaching clouds with interest knowing full well that a spectacular light show often accompanies. Eventually I got this with the blue eyes of the devil searing through a thick bulge of cloud. Once the thought occurred to me I literally felt the hackles on the back of my neck stiffen. Ah the power of light.

o.6ND grad, f/16 at 1/4 sec. I elected to spot meter off the blue of the eyes and allow two stops for the grad. hide exif

Wonderful. I must tell you Ian that your photos over the last couple years have just about convinced me to book a trip to the UK. The landscape is incredible, at least you have made it seem that way.
