Free at Last!
Santa Fe #3751, after hibernating since June of 1958 in San Bernardino, CA's Viaduct Park, is finally free after being pulled from her cement pedestal in 1986. Over the next five years she will undergo a complete restoration to operational status culminating with the pulling of the California Limited excursion train in December 1991.
Before the Filming
Former Southern Pacific Daylight #4449 lays over in SP's Taylor Yard in the afternoon sunlight after a run down the coast to LA. For the next several days, #4449 will be filmed on several locations, including Taylor Yard, for its role in "Tough Guys" in 1986.
