Free at Last!
Santa Fe #3751, after hibernating since June of 1958 in San Bernardino, CA's Viaduct Park, is finally free after being pulled from her cement pedestal in 1986. Over the next five years she will undergo a complete restoration to operational status culminating with the pulling of the California Limited excursion train in December 1991.

Santa Fe #3751 cools her tires after making the run down California's San Joaquin Valley after completing her appearance at RailFair '99 in Sacramento. She'll make the run over Tehachapi Pass in sunlight only as far as Caliente which made for some pretty interesting audio-video opportunities in the Tehachapi Loop area.
