Went for a walk on Compton Down and up Melbury Hill:
from where you could see Win Green Hill (pictured), where I'd walked on the 10th.
At 263m (863ft) high, Melbury Hill is one of the highest hills in the area:
offering spectacular views in all directions.
The walk was euphemistically described as being for "softies":
but included a stiff 100m 1-in-4 climb up Melbury Hill -- which wasn't helped
by a stiff cross-wind that eventually turned to rain!
The guide I used also said that "On a clear and calm day,
the top of Melbury Hill would be a good place for a picnic..."!
