Reflected glory
23 November 2005 (68)

Fovant, Salisbury, UK

A period of really miserable, misty, grey, drab weather seems to have coincided with a period of real busy-ness for me:
so I thought I'd post a picture from last week -- when the weather was constantly bright, blue and crisp -- to cheer myself up!

This is -- basically -- the view from my kitchen window, at the back of the house. However, I was shooting into the sun:
the light on the ferns and the tree being reflected off the largest window of the house across the road from me, at the front!

..... and what a nice view you have too :-) You know what I really like about this one, is all those long curley tendril looking twiggy branches swirling all around - a busy place revealed now the leaves have gone. (Bet there are loads of bugs in there in the Spring to take macro's of lol).

That pop of light is magnificent. Well seen. It is so nice how the light just trips over the leaves of the fern and onto the branch of the tree. The red coming into frame with the purple on the other side is good as well. Nice image and composition.
