It's that time of year again: so I've been out and about, reliving my youth, collecting conkers (but without feeling the need to throw sticks into trees...)
-- so lots more conker pictures to follow, when I've more time....

I used to put mine in the freezer to harden them... -- what did you do: bake them, soak them in vinegar...?

It's a horse chestnut where I come from
and yes they got me in trouble many times for
tossing them at moving objects in my youth.
