The Edison Triumph Model "D" Phonograph was introduced by the Edison Company in October 1908. The player was priced at $60 and was equipped with a straight 12 panel metal horn. The quarter sawn oak cabinet measures 18" x 12" x 14" high. The upper works and motor are fitted to a hinged wooden frame that can be opened for inspection. Weight: 50 1/2 lbs. This model can play both 2 and 4 minute cylinders including wax and Blue Amberols (celluloid) depending on the reproducer type.
I am confused regarding Serial Numbers, as I have a Model D2, with Serial No. 81937, with cignate horn and crane Can anyone please tell me the vintage of my machine?
