I love some of your most recent work but every now and then I go back through and enjoy what you did in the past and there's no doubt that I've got a long way to go to even get close to what I consider your best work. My regards to Sharon I miss not seeing her in recent shots.
Ray and Sharon, I wiped out the password to your Glamour gallery. Would you mind resending it to me.

i love your work and i am photographer in process right now. with all the controversy over some of your photos its pathetic. i agree with the human body being something of natural state but i also feel pornography ruins that fact. and quite frankly its sad that it does because the human body is beautiful.

Damn wanna hire me? I'm not a very good model but I'd love to learn photography from ya!
How can I get my wife to shoot professionaly? She is not cameara shy as I had taken many nude shots and had them developed but when it comes to another photographer, she is shy. cars_goat@yahoo.com

Beautiful images.
I liked the one with her walking out of the water. I tried finding it to leave a comment, but I do not see it on line anymore. Great work, I always enjoy seeing your new images.
Black Blouse : I like this one very much as Sharon looks so natural !
Once more, manys thanks for sharing, TEDDY

Nice work. Like you I have a 20D. I need a wide "L" for full lenght body shoots. I noticed that you use the 24-70mm F2.8 for a lot of your full lenght shots. Would you recommend this lens for full length body shots. How sharp is it, and how far are you from the subject when you take a full lenght photo.
At this stage im finding with a 50mm F1.8 prime im 5 meters away to get a full lenght shot, thanks for any advice
Ray & Sharon,
Beautiful work, improving all the time. Definitely my favourite PAD on PBASE. Thanks, Dave.

Ray,
I'm fairly new to Pbase and have been greatly impressed with your work. I have been a novice photographer for 30 plus years now. I haven't made the jump to digital just yet, mostly due to the cost of the setup I'd like to have. I don't think it will be too much longer though. Your wife Sharon is a natural in the glamor arena. She seems to be very at ease with the sensual poses (plus she is a beautiful woman). Any chance I could get a password to the private gallery?
Thanks, Chuck

I agree with so many of these comments. Your work is superb. I always come visit your site first thing every day. I particularly like the Black Blouse of recent pictures but hard to pic a favorite. The lighint is soft yet clear with Sharon and other shots as well.. And Sharon is beyond beautiful. Would love to have the password to you private gallery.

"Classic Tribute" is perfect! I love the light effect. Each addition seems better than the last..and Sharon more beautiful. Rob
Ray and Sharon, your galleries are quite addictive. I check your daily photo before I check my email. You certainly are a talented couple, Great Photographer and Perfect Model.
Would love to have the password to the forbidden gallery.
Ray, your work continues to astound, amaze and just take my breath away. Be it wolves or women, birds, or spiders, your stuff is crisp and exciting. Must say I have to vote for this gallery. Sincerely offered, Ellsworth (OK, and Sharon, you know how beautiful you are)
Ray/Sharon, You two are a perfect couple in many sense. You capture Sharon's beauty very well and in a very sensual way. Sharon is a beautiful model with a provocative yet very classy manner and charming personality. I enjoy the gallery very much and congrats to you both.
Utsav - I used to use the history brush method but I stopped because the layer method allows for more precise tweaking and adjusting the opacity of the layer for finer control of the result. Doesn't matter though. Whatever works for you. :)

one of the best erotic art i have seen in years... so tastefully done, as if it was an inner call of the spirit- a worship Very erotic without being obscene or crude...
Sharon and you get 2 thumbs up...
By the way Ray,i have an easier method for a fast blur... Just use the gaussian blur- zoom into 100 % and use the history brush tool to undo the blur on areas you dont want it on. Thats It ! (By the way, complete all you post processing on the picture save it close it and reopen it. Else the history tool will undo all lighting and exposure changes to the picture that you have may have intended.)

Thanks so much Ray for your time answering my question about how to soften the skin tone with the gaussian blur. Hopefully that will help others as much as it helped me. LOve your work, keep it up Ray. Take care...
John R. - It's not all that difficult to get the soft glow. The glow itself is a gaussian blur (the amount of blur varies with image sharpness) on a copy of the image. You then add a layer mask and erase the blur from the eyes, hair and any other parts of the image that isn't skin. Also, play around with the opacity value of the blur layer so that you get a good balance between blur and actual skin texture. The worst thing in the world that you can do to skin is make it look plastic. Good luck, hope this helps you out.

Ray, I know nothing really about photography but I was wondering how you get your subject's skin to look portrait like or soft if you prefer? I just bought the Canon EOS 20D and am looking forward to getting shots like you. I think you have a good eye and your pictures are some of the best I've seen taken with the Canon EOs 20D

I've become addicted to your daily picture. Great pictures. Your woman is stunning! Thanks!
Just stumbled on your site via your post in Canon digital Photography. Great pictures, good lighting, and of course you have the benefit of a very lovely model, with nice eyes and a great smile. and the nature pics are good too :). Really though, you could be making this a living. From a fellow canuck.

As usual, the subject is beautiful, and the execution is superb.
I think you should consider doing this professional. Budiour (However you spell that) shots are quite costly, and you do a better job than most photographers I have seen doing this type of work.
It's a good question about getting the session done. I guess when I reach the point of photographic climax (the shot I was going for, or better) then it's time to put the camera down in order to experience a different sort of climax. :)

Great work. Well composed, creative, and a good range of results.
I'm just wondering, with your wife posing for you for photos like these, how do you two ever get the photo shoots finished? :)
