Evening feeding tonight at the Oberland
By the time I ran to the house and got my camera and got back out by the barn the cloud that was in front of the moon had moved. It was still nice but I missed the magnificent moon beam. I enjoy the evening feeding with the stars out, tonight it is 26 degrees with a little wind from the east but still a beautiful night.

Pretty winter morning on the Oberland
A little sun lit up the fresh snow against the dark cloudy sky.

Winter Wood Machine
During the winter we try to heat with wood...we usually have enough windfall to keep us in wood for the winter. Last year I put together this splitter to run off the back of one of the tractors. Now this is a labor saving device!

Last of the leaves
Vine maples are the last trees with color here on the Oberland that have leaves left on them. These protected little trees on our back wood lot contrast nicely with the spruce in the late sun.

First touch of Fall at the Oberland
We had the briefest bit of sun for the first time in days so I took this looking down our driveway..in just a few more days I'll be blowing those leaves off my lawn and back into the woods.

Profile of Royal Lady Abigail ( before she combed her hair)
Such a beautiful morning here at the Oberland..that low golden sun was playing across the horses and once in awhile we get one like this. As shot except for cropping. I don't know but you might have to be a horse lover to really like this one.

First time for the farrier
Today was Dixie's first time with the farrier. Got a nice trim Thank You! $30 please.. I like the sort of Norman Rockwell type of focus the people in the image have, so intent on what is going on.
