Impressions of the Zwarte Cross Festival 2008, held on 25-27 July near Lichtenvoorde in the east of The Netherlands. Zwarte Cross grew out of an illegal cross event, but has developed over the years into a large multifaceted festival, with music (over 100 bands, rock, metal and reggae) and theater as well, spread over three days. It is quite raunchy as you can see here, but still very friendly and relaxed and is presented and organised with a laugh. It has a religious meeting on Sunday morning and a programme booklet with a foreword by God. For anyone interested in the higher arts of beer, bellies and basslines.
