Koppelpoort

Amersfoort, The Netherlands view map

This is the Koppelpoort (1380-1425), through the window of the train rushing by, with some extra frontlight from the snow reflection. I have passed this thousands of times, on the way to work and back homewards. It is especially beautiful in the evening glow, but last year a multistorey building was erected almost in front of it, blocking the late evening sun. Ironically that building houses the organisation managing the built cultural heritage of the Netherlands. The snow offered a rare chance to have some frontlight on the building in the morning.
