Looks closer than it really is, no doubt. If I may suggest, you might use a wider aperture and turn down the iso to 200 so there would be less "noise" (I can see it in the crashing wave) while still retaining your fast shutter speed...just a thought.

A hole appears in the sea... The middle bit reminds me of those legendary 'freak' waves that mariners fear. Oops, rambling! Lovely pic!
