We have them in our yard in bay park starting in 2003 after the big fire through eastern California . We know use two oriole feeders in the front yard and two in the back to keep up with the traffic.

We have a hooded oriole that comes to our humming bird feeder each afternoon and morning for a drink of necter.

We had a male and female who brought their nestlings with them the last 2 summers to eat from the humming bird feeders outside of our kitchen window in Oceanside. We severely trimmed trees in early spring and haven't seen any this year. Thank you for posting this beautiful shot!!

Just saw one checking out the hummingbird feeder as he sat on the fence. Magnificient bird! Brilliant yellow with deep black. So majestic looking and proud! What a treat today in El Cajon, CA!

I have two of these beautiful birds visiting my yard daily in Rancho Penasquitos. Beautiful birds but wish they would use the bird feeder like all the other birds do.

we live in cardiff and have giant bird of paradise plants throughout the yard. Under one of the leaves is a community birds nest...some bird in the past made and no doubt had babies. Well, our hooded oriole parents are occupying this nest for their own family. Cute little "squeak toy noises" come from the nest all day. They, other than the hummingbirds are the favorite to watch. Beautiful Birds!

First time I had the chance to see one was in mission valley close to the golf course. Was perched in a giant bird of paradise plant. Amazing looking bird.
