Thanks for the pix. My great-uncles, Frank and Lewis Carpenter, were sourdough miners at Wiseman and my great-aunt, Clara, taught at the Wiseman school. My father flew into Wiseman in the early 1960s and was there for the Fourth of July celebration. He met an elderly Eskimo woman who remembered his aunt Clara.
