Fox, on the bank of Fox Creek as it enters Goldstream Creek Valley, 16 km (10 miles) northeast of Fairbanks on the Steese Highway.
Fox is located at the junction of the Steese Highway and the Elliott Highway.

Fox was established as a mining camp prior in the early 1900s.
Today it's a community of people who work mostly in Fairbanks.
