Joop's Dog Log - Sunday Jan 11

Hey everybody, it`s... Tool Time!
My humans love that show (`Home Improvement`) with Tim the Toolman Taylor
and Al Borland and Heidi, they`re always watching the reruns.
But I don`t think they`re learning anything from it.
Here I am in a big handiman store helping my human find a tool to do a job.
Hope I`m not spilling the beans when I tell you my human is not a real handy man.
My other human is much handier. She can paint walls and fix up old wood, stuff like that.
Oh, and before you get going on dogs in stores and shops again:
yes I`m allowed in SOME shops and stores.
Always on a leash.. except when I pose for the camera.
So today is odd jobs day.
Let`s keep our paws crossed...

Moin Joop, we only know Heidi, if you mean the the girl from Switzerland living in the mountains with that old guy Alm Öhi, but we never saw her with a hammer or saw!Well, the humans and their tools...a never ending story:our Boss and little Boss Nick used to spend weekends with extensive handiman projects. The first hours were always spoiled with searching for all kinds of tools they
bought months before, but they were always the wrong ones or just disappeared...so they had to drive to such a toolmarket and bought again tons of new tools..sometimes they managed to start working that same weekend, but they often spent so much time in discussions about the right way of beginning that task that the weekend was over.Meanwhile Bosslady collected all the new tool they left around the house, but it in a box and brought it to the little garden house...can you imagine how the next Saturday started? You are right: they started to search the new tools...

Good heavens, Joop, you actually look like you know what yr doing! You know, you could probably make a fortune modeling for calendars. I`d buy one!
Now, about Tool Time. Tell yr human that I went to highschool with the guy who plays the dude who lives next door. His name was Earl Hindman and I remember him well. He used to sit just one row over and two seats in front of me in Latin class, where he was a lousy student. To be fair, everyone was a lousy student in Latin class. The teacher was about a hundred and twelve, named Miss Philips, and was she ever boring. Wowee! Gee, thank yr human for me for the memory, will ya, Joop?
Oh, and I`d say yr pretty lucky to live in a town with such a nice toolmarket. they`ve got good stuff there!

Yeah, Wilson was a great character. Too bad he (the actor, Earl Hindman), died last month.. :-(

Good for you Joop. We only shop in the stores arond town that let the dogs in. Sometimes they even welcome the two of us, but I don`t think we have ever been to a hardware store. Chloe Bear even comes in at the hair dresser. The stylist worriers a little when it gets dark with a bar next door, so she is always happy to have a sheppy around. Chloe gives anyone who looks in the window a woof.

Joop, that`s so great that you can go into some stores with your human; I don`t think many of the stores around here would let me in. (The pet shop does, and the dog bakery, but my human says I`m a wreck in those shops because I spend the whole time trying to steal treats.) Great job on Miss Fotolog Dog of the Week — she`s a beauty, and I know she could out-run all of us!

Good evening Joop - soulmate...it is so good to read that you do believe that we are NOT GUILTY!!
Bosslady got that silk shawl from her mother Klärzi (a selfmade gift) and put it outside with some other clothes to refresh them in the air..obviously it fell down into the wood basket. In the wood shed behind is the flat of our "Mauswiesel".....

Hey, Joop, has your human taught you to use any of those tools yet. It`s kind of fun fixing things up...I think a smart dog like you would enjoy knowing the difference between a flat head and a Phillips screwdriver. Maybe you can take over the small repairs from him.
I read where the Nannish one knew Wison...he died the other day...young, too. And just above Waldgeister thinks Heidi is the one who lived with the old guy and ate goat cheese.
Interesting discussions go on in this flog, Joop!!! :)))

It almost looks like the tools are color-coded in this hardware store. Very cool.
