"Unconditional Surrender," a 25-foot statue by artist J. Seward Johnson,
stands beside the harbor in San Diego, Calif. The statue is based
on the famous photo by Alfred Eisenstaedt taken in Times Square
in New York City on V-J day, Aug. 14, 1945.
