This will be a very small gallery focusing on The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh luxury hotel and nearby buildings, including the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center and the Shura Council (Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia) property. I find it a bit amusing that I had to go to a hotel to be able to take pictures ;-), but it is pretty spectacular, it's just over the highway from the DQ, I had never been there and is where President Obama and his entourage of 800 stayed when he visited Riyadh on March 28 (so I had a reason for seeing it!).

Actually, our former ambassador in Budapest was interested in coming to the kingdom to visit us, and she had asked if they had hotels here. The answer was of course, yes they do, and this is one of the nicest. Perhaps I can expand this gallery to include more of them when I'm at a loss for things to photograph!
