Pécs: Hungary's Culture Capital

We finally had the occasion to drive to Pécs in Southern Transdanubia, both to see this city that was named a European Capital of Culture in 2010 and to search for the famous home-town product, Zsolnay porcelain. Pécs is a charming city that more than lived up to our expectations, and the ceramics, especially at the Zsolnay Museum, were exquisite. Pécs has a reputation of being one of the sunniest cities in Hungary, but the day we went was unfortunately one of the few where there was very little sun (and incredibly cold).
