Taken during our last visit to Constitution Gardens on the National Mall. I keep saying I want to get back there, but it’s difficult in summer, with skyrocketing temperatures and heavy humidity, plus no place to park even remotely near the gardens due to an over-abundance of tourists. The last time we drove past there, we didn’t see a single bird on the lake, so maybe they’re taking a break from the oppressive heat, too.
