Back to the vet for yet another hotspot

A picture taken at the vet clinic in March, when Queenie suffered her first hotspot, which involved a trip to the ER and visits to our own vet as well as a month-long recovery during which she had to take multiple drugs and wear a cone on her head. She now has another hotspot in the same area, which she’s managed to turn into an enormous wound on her hip, much worse than the first one, so we’re back to going to the vet and medication and wearing the cone of shame.

Oh, poor Queenie. It is so hard for dogs to leave those wretched hotspots alone. One of my dogs had the same problem and it was not easy. But I wish Queenie well and hope she heals well.

Looks like she is saying “Save me Tim”. Ugh, hot spots are a pain and can be tough to get to go away and sat away. What kind of meds did they put her on? V
