Muralist Joel Bergner’s “Satellites of Hope,” created on the headquarters of the DC Metro system (WMATA), celebrates the transformative power of satellite technology in addressing global challenges. The mural features three scenes: resilient urban planning in Washington, D.C., global connectivity among youth, and the role of satellites in crisis management and aid delivery. Funded by NASA Lifelines and supported by WMATA, the mural invites viewers to reflect on how satellite solutions can empower communities and create a more sustainable and equitable world.
