Inside the ruins

Tim was able to walk around the site before the sun set and took a lot of pictures, although I probably won’t post most of them, but I did like this one in particular.

The At-Turaif district of Old Diriyah was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010. Diriyah was the original home of the Saudi royal family and served as the capital of the first Saudi dynasty from 1744 to 1818.

The textures on the walls of these ancient ruins looked so warm in the light of the setting sun ... and the Saudi flag in the picture was a nice inclusion. V

The lines are interesting in how they curve and aren’t straight. It has a strong artistic quality. V

Love how the textures look in the warm glow of the light. The flag really pops in the frame.

Mud and straw ... and it's still standing straight after all those years ...
