New look for a fire truck

This may be a common sight for most people, but I had never seen it before. I asked Tim what was going on with the truck as we drove by, and he said they were working on the engine. I didn’t even know that’s where the engine was located ;-).

Don got me curious about the "Sauce" on the truck, and after some searching I found this on Instagram from 2021:

"Today, we remember Firefighters Louis Matthews of No. 26 Engine House (Brentwood) and Anthony "Sauce" Phillips of the No. 10 Engine House (Trinidad) who were killed in the Line of Duty while operating on Box 6178 in Fort Lincoln. Not since 1911 has the District lost two firefighters on the same incident."

Keeping an eye on the TV remote, posted earlier:

Shot well-spotted and taken, surprised they carried out the maintenance works on the street instead of within the fire station, unless it was a breakdown ... V

So cool to see! It’s amazing to see the truck propped like that. V

Cool capture.
I get the BASICS acronym, but what's the story with "Sauce"?

Cool catch of this tilt cab being up. What concerns me, is that it seems like it's right in front of that signal light, possibly being a distraction to traffic.

An odd sight for sure. It must be lifted mechanically not by hand.
