Dog parks are example of ‘anti-family’ culture: Project 2025 architect

JD Vance, Trump’s vice-presidential running mate, recently came under fire for past comments describing Democratic voters as “childless cat ladies,” a bizarre theme echoed in a new book by Kevin Roberts, the ousted architect of Project 2025 — called by some Trump’s blueprint for the future of America — by taking aim at a different species of pet: dogs.

Swampoodle Dog Park in Washington, D.C., is targeted by Roberts for having too much room for dogs to play and not enough for children, blaming this on “the antifamily culture shaping legislation, regulation, and enforcement throughout our sprawling government.”

We decided to visit the combination dog park and playground to see if we could understand how it’s ruining the future of America and how it favors supposedly childless dog owners over parents. The park, which began as an undeveloped plot of land used as an informal dog park by residents, upon a petition by neighbors was developed and made official by the city and also included a small play area for children. This picture shows some of the dog area and a fenced-in maze of slides and ladders, reportedly quite popular with the youngsters who play there. In addition, earlier this year, the park was even expanded across the street with a new section for younger kids. (Taken from reports by The Daily Beast, Raw Story and MSNBC)

We spent a lot of time there with Queenie, who loved the park, and came away not understanding how dog parks and dog owners constitute a threat to our way of life in the US.

America has its own Taliban. Male jerks who want to dictate how everyone else should live. These people are disgusting.

It just never ends for these bottom feeders. I sure hope they kicked to curb in November.

Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel, as JD and DT are doing by targeting dog parks of all places. We all know how kids and dogs love to play and the above space is great for both. The distorted view of the world evidenced by the above duo is dangerous and deplorable.

Great photo of Queenie enjoying the park! V

It’s because they are nuts. What’s so anti family about this. Kids love dogs. V

Nice shot of Queenie in what looks like a wonderful venue. We've always considered our dogs to be valuable members of our family and I'm guessing if you polled the children of DC they would overwhelmingly approve of dog parks.

It looks a lovely place and beautifully photographed too. Don't let politics spoil a good thing ... V

That looks super fancy and a very cool place for kids or dogs. JD and DT and all of their followers are all imbeciles. All they have is making up culture wars and hate. ~BV~

That looks a lot bigger than most of the dog parks I have noticed in DC. V
