Queenie’s guard post

Whenever she hears something suspicious outside our house, Queenie immediately runs to a window in our bay to see what’s going on.

The tail in motion means she is intellectually engaged.

Dogs make great alarms. My Chihuahuas sure are. Bella can tell us (without looking out a window) when someone is at the door even before they ring the doorbell. She's our only barker. She also knows even when someone just reaches our driveway. She tells us but doesn't bark.

I bet she could scare away an intruder. Love her tail and her focus. V

Cute how you caught the tail mid wag. V

I like how she's "not fully" in the window but just "peeking" from the side.

Hopefully she doesn't bark every time. My son's dog is great at guarding but it's always accompanied by barking.

Dogs seem to always be on alert, they can hear things we can't. Neat shot.
