First sign of fall

The tree in the tree box in front of our house is always the first tree on Capitol Hill to fully display its fall colors. It hasn’t been very cold and we haven’t had much rain, so I’m not sure how much fall color we’ll get, but it was nice to see this, at least.

Funny, I have never imagined fall color on a single tall tree like this. I love how this one seems to be emerging from the pink flowered shrub below it. Fabulous image! ~BV~
