Unusual visitor

This praying mantis (I’m guessing it is) parked itself on our screen door for most of the day and wasn’t bothered by my opening the door several times to get pictures. Suddenly it was gone; no idea if that was voluntary or what.

this manits has atypical colouring as they usually appear green all over...perhaps it is adapting to the dark shade of the current setting...
